Education and workforce development were the themes at last Thursday’s University System of Georgia Foundation’s Scholarship Awards Gala. Emceed by legendary Georgia comedian Jeff Foxworthy, it was a sold-out crowd at the Town Stage and Shipyard at mammoth Trilith Studios. Attendees included Gov. Brian Kemp, USG Chancellor Sonny Perdue and other dignitaries as money was raised to support college scholarships. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
