The U.S. Department of Justice released the findings of a three-year investigation into Georgia’s state prison system – and it didn’t hold back with its criticisms. “The findings report we issue today lays bare the horrific and inhumane conditions that people are confined to inside Georgia’s state prison system,” said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “People are assaulted, stabbed, raped and killed or left to languish inside facilities that are woefully understaffed.” The report finds Georgia’s prison system SINKING…
Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
