Gwinnett County is suing the state of Georgia, as well as three state legislators, over the recently-passed referendum that created the new city of Mulberry within the county. Mulberry would become Gwinnett’s 17th city and second-largest by population, but county officials are arguing that its city charter violates the Georgia Constitution. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
