Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, along with 21 of his peers from other states, is demanding that social media giant TikTok turn over text messages between executives under the premise that the company is breaking consumer protection laws that “have fueled the ongoing crisis in the mental health of children and teens.” This is the latest twist in the ongoing effort to rein in TikTok and similar social media companies, with concern over the impact they have on children’s’ mental health. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
