There’s nothing like a Bavarian Christkindlmarkt – that’s ‘Christmas market’ in German – but if you can’t make it across the pond this month the next best thing is only a couple hours north of Atlanta. Helen, White County’s own Bavarian-themed town, is hosting its 17th annual Christkindlmarkt this month, featuring vendors offering decorations, treats, and gifts. Held downtown in Unicoi Hill Park, the event also marks the Annual Lighting of the Village, officially kicking off the holiday season.
