A mapping error that led to about 60 people receiving incorrect ballots in an east Georgia House district may result in the entire race being thrown out and re-contested. The race between state Rep. Mack Jackson, D-Sandersville, and his Republican opponent Tracy Wheeler, was the closest in the state, with Jackson winning by just 40 votes. But it was found that a handful of voters were accidentally put into the wrong district when their houses were on one of the border roads. The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
