A Clayton Co. homeowner found herself in prison after trying to remove a squatter who had been in her house for months. Loletha Hale had battled with the courts over the squatter for months after a judge ruled that the intruder could stay because she was “related to” a former tenant. But thinking the squatter had moved out, Hale changed the locks and began renovating the home. The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
