Georgia Pathways and Georgia Access programs, signed into law by Gov. Brian Kemp, now cover over 715,000 Georgians under the federal poverty level (FPL). That’s more than double the amount of people traditional Medicaid expansion covers. And 709, 984 Georgians under the FPL have commercial coverage (which they would lose subsidies for immediately if Georgia fully expanded Medicaid) and 5,903 individuals are covered under the Georgia Pathways program. Not only do those on Georgia Access have commercial coverage where they enjoy broader provider networks, but their providers see higher reimbursement rates under private coverage for these individuals because Georgia did not fully expand Medicaid.  RISING…
