U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson yesterday appointed U.S. Rep. Brian Jack, R-Ga., to be on the powerful Rules Committee. The newly elected Peachtree City resident will be serving on what is commonly known as “The Speaker’s Committee” because it is the mechanism the speaker uses to maintain control of the House Floor. Jack also served during President Donald Trump’s first term as his White House political director, and he remains very close to his former boss. His loyal ties to the incoming president, as well as the speaker, mean he can effectively look out for Georgia’s interests. RISING…
