President Donald Trump capped off a busy first day of his second term by firing over a thousand political appointees from the previous regime, with one prominent Georgia chief among them. Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, appointed by former President Joe Biden to the President’s Export Council in 2023, was one of the first four names “fired” by Trump late Monday. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
