The possibility of Medicaid expansion has been long-debated under the Gold Dome, but has struggled to gain traction, particularly with Gov. Brian Kemp opposed. This year’s effort, however, has drawn some Republican support, with four GOP state senators co-sponsoring a bill that seeks to expand Medicaid access to Georgians near the poverty line. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
