The most high-profile piece of legislation under the Gold Dome this year is Senate Bill 68, the tort reform bill pushed by Gov. Brian Kemp and his allies in the legislature. On Friday it cleared its first major hurdle, passing the Senate by a 33-21 margin mostly along party lines. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
