Bill codifying IVF protections passes committee

A legislative priority for House Speaker Jon Burns, R-Newington, is protecting Georgians’ rights to pursue in vitro fertilization (IVF).  On Monday that effort cleared an important benchmark when House Bill 428 passed out of the House Health Committee.  The bill seeks to codify IVF protections into state law, an issue that picked up steam during the 2024 presidential race when both candidates expressed support.  Now on to the Rules committee, the bill’s odds of passing in 2025 are RISING…
