The Atlanta Public Safety Training Center hasn’t been in the headlines recently as much as it was in recent years when violent protesters rioted and vandalized cars and buildings to try to stop it, but a legal battle has been going on behind the scenes. However now the training center is “functionally complete” and already hosting police officers, firefighters and first responders for training sessions. So what does that mean for opponents arguing that their First Amendment rights were “violated” because they weren’t allowed to collect signatures to try to stop the facility’s construction? Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
