Georgia school districts will receive over $145.5 million in federal funding after a recommendation by State School Superintendent Richard Woods and a vote by the State Board of Education. The vote came as soon as Grant Award Notifications were received from USED, to ensure funds were distributed to school districts as quickly and efficiently as possible, Woods said.
