Athens may not be as big as Nashville or Los Angeles, but it has a similar cultural richness, particularly in regards to its music industry. Soon Athens will have its own memorial to some of the bands who have contributed to the town’s music scene in the form of a “music walk of fame” in downtown. Georgia approves three-year bachelor’s degree
Georgia is joining a handful of other states in trying out a new three-year bachelor’s degree program meant to get students into the job market faster. The University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents has approved the Bachelor of Applied Science, which cuts down on electives and only requires 90 credit hours instead of the traditional 120.
