The Atlanta City Council is putting together a study commission that will look into the idea of reparations for Black residents.  The group will contain 11 appointed members, some from local HBCUs and others from advocacy groups such as the National African-American Reparations Commission.  It will study the impact of historical legal discrimination in the city and report its findings – and possible recommendations for some form of local-level reparations – sometime in 2024.  Scant on details or funding mechanisms, the commission is DRIFTING…
