Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on Monday gave a preview of one of his key legislative priorities for 2024 – school safety.  At a press conference at the State Capitol Kemp announced plans to include more than $100 million in the budget – $45,000 to every public school in the state – to be spent on security upgrades and extra law enforcement presence.  And that money would be baked into the state’s base budget, meaning schools could count on it every year going forward.  Kemp said he trusts each school to know how best to spend the money to fit their specific needs.  RISING…
