After 21 months of indecision, Pete Skandalakis, executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys Council of Georgia, named himself Thursday as the lead investigator into Lt. Gov. Burt Jones’ involvement in the alternate elector case following the 2020 presidential election. Skandalakis was assigned the case after Fulton Co. DA Fani Willis was forced to recuse herself from prosecuting Jones because she held a fundraiser for his opponent in the lt. governor’s race. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
