It’s not uncommon to hear people say that Atlanta rent hikes in recent years have been criminal – but have they been quite literally crimes? The FBI recently performed an unannounced raid on Atlanta-based Cortland Management, a major corporate landlord. Its investigation centers around Cortland’s use of RealPage, a property management software that many landlords use and which has been sued over allegations that it is being used to collude to raise rents in unison. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
