For 236 years Georgia has been without an official state crustacean – but as of yesterday (July 1) that streak has come to an end. House Bill 1341, passed earlier this year, designates the white shrimp as the official state crustacean. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
