The city of Warm Springs, about 70 miles southwest of Atlanta, has found itself embroiled in a scandal that saw every member of its police force fired but one officer. While Mayor Robyn Pynenburg has been light on details, the issue appears to revolve around officers, including former Chief Emilio Quintana, ignoring their local duties while driving patrol cars up to Atlanta to take off-duty overtime jobs. The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
