52 Georgia state senators have signed onto a letter urging the U.S. Department of Agriculture to take another look at some Peach State counties that they say need more assistance in the fallout of Hurricane Helene. The feds are doling out money to farmers whose crops were wiped out by the massive storm, but 13 Georgia counties were excluded because the USDA’s model said they didn’t get enough damage. But Georgia legislators are asking them to take a second look, saying the damage was indeed severe and just not captured by the system. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
