Georgia Senate Democrats have chosen a new leader ahead of the 2025 legislative session, electing Augusta Sen. Harold Jones II as the party’s new minority leader.  Jones succeeds outgoing Sen. Gloria Butler of Stone Mountain, who is retiring at the end of her term this December.  Among the party’s goals next year will be Medicaid expansion, which Republican Lt. Gov.
