Georgia’s economy has boomed since the pandemic, but could that growth be grinding to a halt? The most recent numbers from the first half of FY2025, which began July 1st, show that net tax collections were up about 1.8%.  But when the two and a half month gas tax exemption is accounted for, revenue is actually down about 1%.  We’ll see how these numbers are reflected in Gov. Brian Kemp’s proposed budget, to be revealed later this week, but the state’s economy may be DRIFTING…
