U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson yesterday appointed U.S. Rep. Brian Jack, R-Ga., to be on the powerful Rules Committee. The newly elected Peachtree City resident will be serving on what is commonly known as “The Speaker’s Committee” because it is the mechanism the speaker uses to maintain control of the House Floor. Jack also served during President Donald Trump’s first term as his White House political director, and he remains very close to his former boss. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
