The possibility of Medicaid expansion has been long-debated under the Gold Dome, but has struggled to gain traction, particularly with Gov. Brian Kemp opposed.  This year’s effort, however, has drawn some Republican support, with four GOP state senators co-sponsoring a bill that seeks to expand Medicaid access to Georgians near the poverty line.   Republican Sens. Carden Summers, Billy Hickman, Russ Goodman and Sam Watson say expansion would help their constituents as well as rural hospitals.  But the Trump Administration has also signaled that cuts could be coming to Medicaid, leaving the debate DRIFTING…
