Georgia leaders voice mixed reactions to military strike on Iran

As news spread Saturday of U.S.-Israel military strikes on Iran, Georgia lawmakers seemed to be split along party lines in their support or protest  of the action. The Republican representatives from Georgia are standing behind the president and the effort to unseat an Iran regime that has sponsored terrorism and oppressed its own people, while Democrats – led by U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff – are very vocal in their opposition.

Delta Foundation commits $5 million for Georgia Tech aerospace building

Just a couple weeks after settling this year’s employee profit sharing – an additional $567.9 million – Delta is making another commitment that will make a big impact in Georgia. The Delta Air Lines Foundation announced this week that it is committing $5 million for construction of Georgia Tech’s new Aerospace Engineering Building.

Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention

The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.  Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.”  The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
