Between the research ecosystem and leveraging extensive public service initiatives, among many other things, the University of Georgia no doubt has a huge impact on its home state. Thanks to a report from Professor Michael Adjemian in the school’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, that impact has a number – $9.2 billion.
Pair of Senate bills seek to protect children online
Two bills filed in the Senate this week are designed to “mitigate harms to children online.” The legislation was filed by members of the Senate Study Committee on the Impact of Social Media and Artificial Intelligence on Children and Platform Privacy Protection as a result of meetings held during the off session.

Appellate court hears election law challenges
