But during a Sunday Georgia campaign re-election rally many critics— Republicans, Democrats and others– say his singling out of a young White House aide in a snide remark against Trump is unnecessary, inappropriate and crosses a line.

Kemp and SRTA announce $26 mill for transportation projects

Gov. Brian Kemp and the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) Board announced the next round of funding for the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank (GTIB). The $26 million in grants and low-interest loans will go towards 20 transportation roadway projects and two regional airport projects.

Bishop: Funding bill fall shorts for families, farmers

U.S Rep. Sanford Bishop, D-GA, who serves as the top Democrat on the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee for Agriculture, Rural Development, Food & Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, says he voted against H.R. 8646, the subcommittee’s Fiscal Year 2027 funding bill because it falls short for Georgia families, farmers and rural communities.

Georgia lawmakers back the Braves

As the Atlanta Braves continue their playoff battle with the LA Dodgers, a group of Georgia lawmakers are backing them in a battle of their own.  U.S. Reps. Brian Jack and Lucy McBath, along with U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, have introduced legislation to extend a provision in the 2021 American Rescue Plan that would allow publicly traded organizations – like the Braves – to treat some of their high-salaried players like executives as a normal business would.  This savvy tax move would save the team more than $20 million next season, money which now can be reinvested in the squad, which has the Braves and their fans RISING…
