Italian tire company makes major investment in Rome (Georgia)
In 2024, Gov. Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp led an economic development trip to Italy, laying the foundation for a major announcement that came Tuesday. According to Kemp, Pirelli, a world leader in tire production, will create 1,000 new jobs as part of multi-year, $1.2 billion expansion of its existing facility in Rome, Georgia.

Wise returns to PSC to fill unexpired term
A familiar face is returning to the Georgia Public Service Commission – at least for a short time. Gov. Brian Kemp announced late last week that he is appointing Stan Wise to the District 5 seat to fill out the unexpired term of Commissioner Tricia Pridemore. Wise previously served on the Commission for 24 years, from 1995 to 2018, and chaired the regulatory body multiple times.
