Special election to fill seat of late U.S. Rep. David Scott heads to runoff
The special election to fill the U.S. House seat previously held by the late David Scott is headed to an August 10th runoff, after Marcye Scott, the youngest of David Scott’s two daughters, fell just short of 50% of the vote. Clay Fuller was sworn into office Tuesday after winning a special election to take the 14th Congressional seat formerly held by Marjorie Taylor Greene. On his first day in office, Fuller co-sponsored the “Save America Act,” a bill pushed by President Donald Trump.
